Who Are We?Awaken Consulting
Awaken Consulting & Training Services Ltd. works in collaboration with organisations to facilitate growth, development and change with the aim of awakening greater possibilities and choice. The organisation was set up in 2003, having emerged out of Lisa Wake''s corporate portfolio and NLP training experience as a consultant since 1997. In 2010 we moved our offices to the market town of Northallerton, to take advantage of the excellent road and rail links. Northallerton station, on the main east coast London to Edinburgh link is within easy walking distance from our offices on South Parade and has regular train connections to Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and is about 2 hours from London.
Lisa Wake

Trained by both AND and INLPTA as a Trainer of NLP, and accredited by the UKCP as a neurolinguistic psychotherapist, Lisa continues to work with Organisations as diverse as the Home Office, Fox''s Biscuits, Napp Pharmaceuticals, NHS Modernisation Agency, Higher Education Funding Council for England, Northern Foods Group, Keepmoat PLC, Tilda, Macmillan Education Unit as well as NHS and Local Authority organisations. Together with his wife Lisa, they set up Awaken Consulting & Training Services Ltd. to bring together their wide experience in different fields to provide tailored solutions to business needs. Trained by INLPTA as a trainer of NLP, Mark''s technical background and practical ''no-nonsense'' style means that he can connect with individuals from all walks of life and bring alive seemingly abstract theoretical concepts in a learning environment. Practice Group
Dates for the NLP Practice Group - All Welcome !! Like many NLP training schools, Awaken Consulting offer individuals the opportunity to come along to our offices and ''try out'' NLP first hand. This gives everyone the chance to experience what NLP with Awaken might mean to them whether they are a serious student of NLP or someone with just a passing interest. The Awaken NLP Practice Group meets quarterly in our Northallerton Offices to provide a forum for that curiosity. The difference that makes the difference with Awaken is that for each meeting we pick a NLP topic and look at its implications primarily in a range of business or applied settings, rather than only as a theoretical concept. Each meeting is run by a NLP trainer with discussions and exercises to allow participants to understand the applications of NLP in their area of interest. Open to everyone, the group runs from 4pm till 8pm with a light supper and refreshments provided to allow people to network. The cost is kept to a minimal £10 per session to encourage all to participate and its a great opportunity to meet other like minded people and learn something interesting. The Practice Groups are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 4pm till 8pm and for 2011 we are holding them every second month: Tuesday January 18th 2011 - Metaprogrammes: How to utilise a person's behaviourial response in contexts such as leadership, motivation, team building and recruitment. Tuesday March 15th 2011 - Metaphor: How to use analogy, reference experiences and stories to influence and motivate individuals and teams. Tuesday May 17th 2011 - Logical Levels: How to use thinking styles to diagnose issues and plan an effective intervention that will influence and motivate individuals and teams. Tuesday July 19th 2011 - Topic to be confirmed: If you have a topic or an issue that you would like us to cover, please feel free to contact the offices to discuss. Tuesday September 20th 2011 - Topic to be confirmed: If you have a topic or an issue that you would like us to cover, please feel free to contact the offices to discuss.
